Japan is so much more than what media shows us. The people care so much about where they came from; their rich history is embedded in their way of life. They have integrated their history into their modern culture: within the bustle of city life, ancient shrines still stand, centuries old shrines are still being used. Their culture is so much different than the Western world that it feels like, literally, stepping into another world. It’s a place I will be visiting again.
